ACT Weekends
Adventure Challenge Therapy (ACT) is a weekend program that provides an alternative sanction to youth on probation, or in public care, who require consequences to negative behaviors. Youth Services Agency operates the program and picks up the juveniles Friday afternoons at various sites across the county (The old Levitz Furniture warehouse by Sams Club is the designated Lower Bucks County pick-up/drop off site) and transports them back on Sunday afternoon.
Weekends consist of hiking, camping and community service work and all of the activities are physically and emotionally demanding, but matched to the abilities of each youth. Participants are provided with meals throughout the weekend.
Participants are not permitted to bring matches, lighters, any type of tobacco product, or electronics. Any prescribed medication needs to be in the original bottle and contain only enough for the weekend.
If there are any questions or concerns, please call the program coordinator at 484-239-8934. Every juvenile must have a completed information packet and physical before attending. A printable version of the packet is available under the "Programs" section.
